We journey through life in a physical form. We engage the world through the five senses. Our place in the human community is occupied by flesh and bones. Our life begins with a body. So what do we hold with us in these bodies– these structures of the human being? What heritage, expectation, ability, divergence, beauty, strength, weakness, do we know in ourselves, or do others believe about us? Join us to ponder the meaning of being human in a body.
Every year the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) hold General Assembly (GA) which is open to all UUs to attend. Click here to learn all about this wonderful, inspirational, and information packed event and consider going. This year is a very important GA because a new President of the Association will be elected there. As a certified member congregation of the UUA, our congregation is entitled to cast a vote for this new president. To do this, we need input from our members. If you are an official member of Tree of Life, we invite you to learn about the candidates and take the attached survey. This year we have 3 very qualified candidates running for President. Click on their names below to go to their official websites to learn more about them. There will also be campaign materials available to read in the social area.
Still have questions? Judy Stettner attended Regional Assembly last month and attended the candidates forum where all three candidates answered questions from the audience.

The evidence of the power of our minds is undeniable. When we understand our mind, we begin to re-shape our behavior and feelings about so many things… it’s the most loving act of service one can do for themselves and the world. Our guest speaker is Bhante Sujatha, the abbot of the Blue Lotus Temple in Woodstock, and he joins us to celebrate 15 years of friendship with our congregation. Bhante teaches loving-kindness meditation to people around the globe for all those seeking the art of happiness and contentment.
