Our next book selection is This Tender Land, by William Kent Kruger. Here is a brief description of the book from the Star Tribune:
In William Kent Krueger’s latest novel, four orphaned children escape an American Indian boarding school in 1932 and canoe down the Mississippi seeking a home. Their odyssey is epic and, like Homer’s original, by turns gritty and divine.
We will meet for discussion on Friday November 5 at 7pm. Please bring ipads or notebooks if you have them so that those who wish to participate by zoom can do so. Susan Rowe has graciously offered to use her house for a next in person meeting.
