UU Voices on Memorial Day

Memorial Day is a complicated holiday for many of us. How do we honor those who serve without glorifying war? This morning we will hear perspectives on military service and war from a variety of UU voices–ministers, servicemen, and UU chaplains.

  • Speakers: Worship Arts Committee
  • Worship Leader: M.E. Tanabe

After the service we will have social time and Inquirers for new comers online and in person.

Did you miss this service? You can watch it here.

  1. The term “ servicemen” is problematic with “men” being the normative value. Service members is more inclusive and non-gendered.

    1. Agreed, Sheryl. This will be brought to the worship arts committee’s attention so they correct this for next time.
