Online Classes during Covid restrictions:

We welcome students birth to age 18  to join us for the following 30-45 minute classes. All classes will be led by two background-checked adults who will lead these children in vibrant discussions, activities, and games. Each class will explore the same Soul Matters themes we explore as a church community at an age-appropriate level.

On Sundays when Religious Education is in session, our students join their families for Worship Service on Zoom at 10:45, then meet in their Zoom Classrooms after Worship.

Birth to 2nd grade:

2nd-5th grade:

Classes meet via Zoom on Sundays at noon.

These highly interactive classes will meet using Soul Matters monthly themes and may also lean on our rich Spirit Play stories and format to enrich these discussions.

When classes resume in person:

On Sundays when Religious Education is in session, our students join their families for the beginning of the Worship Service in the sanctuary at 10:45. Children will be invited to their classes with a song, at which point they will adjourn to their classrooms for their lessons from 11-12pm.

Spirit Play (PK-2nd grade)

Using Montessori methods, Spirit Play presents central stories of our faith and church using simple, beautiful materials. These stories reflect our Soul Matters monthly themes.

2nd grade thru High School

Students will use Soul Matters themes to explore the same questions we explore as a church community with an age-appropriate curriculum.

OWL classes will resume when our congregation resumes meeting in person.

4-5th grade: OWL (Our Whole Lives) (offered alternating years- 12 sessions) Honest, accurate information about sexuality changes lives. It dismantles stereotypes and assumptions, builds self-acceptance and self-esteem, fosters healthy relationships, improves decision making, and has the potential to save lives. For these reasons and more, we are proud to offer Our Whole Lives (OWL), a comprehensive, lifespan sexuality education curricula. Interactive workshops and lessons engage participants, while step-by-step instructions for program planners and facilitators help ensure success.
