This rite of passage is designed to facilitate and support the transition from childhood to youth.  The program gives 9th & 10th graders a chance to learn about themselves, explore deeply their faith and belief system, make new friends, develop a relationship with an adult mentor and to have fun!

Coming of Age provides opportunities for friendship and structured experiences that help children make decisions about how they want to grow up. It’s a chance for them to explore their talents and gifts, their core beliefs and their strengths and weaknesses. Activities may include parties, camping, traveling, or attending special events.  Each student develops a faith statement over the course of the program to share with the congregation in a special service at the end of the school year.

Coming of Age runs alternate years and so will be offered for the church year of 2017-2018.
