Saturday, June 28, 2025, 9am-2pm (no early birds, please)

The Tree of Life Rummage & Plant Sale is coming up on Saturday, June 28 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Plant Sale will be held outside the church entrance and will feature a range of plants for just $7 each. Plants will include perennial pollinators; edible plants; and native perennials, including oregano and strawberries. Plant Sale proceeds will help fund a 2026 trip by the Tree of Life youth group to the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota. This week-long service-learning trip is offered by Re-Member with a strong emphasis on cultural immersion. Working with the Re-Member staff, the youth group will complete various projects across the reservation, while learning about the culture and history of the Lakota people.
Plant donations would be a great help for our sale, including perennial pollinator plants (natives sell best!) and edible plants (fruits, vegetables, herbs). You may place them in any size pot, just make sure you can lift it! Please consider donating to this sale when you are working in your gardens and thinning your existing plants. If you are in need of pots to transport donations, please text Heather Madaus, 815-509-7862.
The Rummage Sale will have great buys too, including vintage and household items, décor, clothing, accessories, children’s items, and tools. Ten percent of the Rummage Sale proceeds will be donated to Compassion for Campers, a Tree of Life ministry providing gear and supplies to the unhoused population of McHenry County.
Volunteers are still needed for set-up on Thursday, June 26 at 6 p.m. (tables) and Friday, June 27, anytime between 2 and 7 p.m., and for the sale itself on Saturday, June 28, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Click on https://treeoflifeuu.churchcenter.com/registrations/events/2968985 to sign up or contact Mary Robinson at maryrobinson87@comcast.net.
