When times and situations are turbulent, it is natural and understandable to look for an” anchor in the storm” and to crave a sense of certainty. What happens if we ground ourselves in a sense of wonder, curiosity, and gratitude, even in difficult times? Can our spiritual anchor become a faith without certainty? Join Chaplain Dave and our Tree of Life community as we explore, embrace, and celebrate the power and possibility of not knowing. We will take a special offering for Veterans Path to Hope.
A special message for all people attending online on Sunday, Nov. 9: We invite you to bring a seed of any kind, a magnifying glass, and a mystery item in an opaque bag to your worship space on Sunday morning. Your mystery item can be placed in the bag by a friend, neighbor, or family member. The important thing is that it be a mystery to you. Come wonder with us!
- Speaker: Chaplain Dave Becker
- Worship Leader: Jesse Bowen
Children are invited to begin with their families in the service and then go to WonderLab activities after the story for all ages. After the service, everyone is invited to stay for coffee and conversation. The board, Building Sale team, and Transition Team will host a town hall discussion after the service in the sanctuary. Everyone is encouraged to attend.
