Support Compassion for Campers (and Jail Brakers) at Ride to Leave a Light On

C4C (Compassion for Campers) is at Community Resource Days at Willow Crystal Lake, 100 South Main Street on the first and third Friday of every month from 10 am to 2 pm. C4C is one of over 25 agencies at Willow. Our next distribution is Friday, May 18 and then on Friday, June 6. Please come and see what we are doing.

Compassion for Camper volunteers and the community of unhoused and oppressed she served so long and well join in mourning the passing of Andy Myers in hospice care this week. With Sue Rekenthaler she was a C4C mainstay through all of its changes and challenges. She also co-chaired the Tree of Life Social Justice Team, was a tireless activist, and a beloved mainstay of TOLUUC.

As demand grows in the warming Spring including first-time campers, C4C is stressed by an approaching funding emergency and the escalating costs of our most basic equipment. Tents, sleeping bags, mats, and bottle top stoves have skyrocketed due to Trump’s tariff wars. Almost all of those items are made exclusively in China. Please keep us in mind for emergency donations. Also support us by participating in the Ride to Keep a Light On in Woodstock on Friday June 20 from 7 to 10 pm on Woodstock Square. Purchase light strings to support C4C and other fine community organizations. Visit https://tinyurl.com/mtjyt3fv and support our karaoke fund raiser in July. We are in urgent need of donations, especially a few larger ones, to keep functioning and serving the homeless and housing at risk clients. Do you know any businesses or organizations that could make a donation? We will be glad to provide them with information. Thanks.

Warm weather brings special needs for mosquito and insect repellent, sun screen, and rain ponchos. We can always use donations of supplies like clean and serviceable tents and sleeping bags in original bags for easy transport, clean blankets, table top grills, wrapped toilet paper and paper towels, Mylar blankets, and non-perishable food

 Money donations are always welcome.
