Happy Fall, and welcome back to the Religious Education program!
Classes for all ages will meet at our outdoor playspace on Sundays at 9:30 following the Short and Sweet in-person service and before the full service online. Masks are required for in-person classes.
We will meet in person for as long as we can! Please send your students prepared to get dirty, and have seasonally appropriate protection. This might include sunscreen, hats, bug spray that will protect against ticks as well as mosquitos, jackets, hats, gloves, rain protection, and even boots. During the fall we plan to meet in-person rain or shine (unless the forecast is severe).
As the weather changes, we will plan to pivot to an online format for working on our pageant, and the timing of Sunday classes will be subject to change at that time. This date is flexible; we hope to stay outside as long as possible!

Calling all volunteers!
Have you ever wondered what our students are doing in their classes?
What a great year to find out! This year will require flexibility, adaptability, and humor. Our overarching goal is to build community through fun and games as we explore our Soul Matters themes. There is no UU knowledge base required; we’ll give you the tools and information you need! We plan to meet outdoors (rain or shine!) until we begin to work on the Winter pageant on Zoom.
The time commitment: 9:15-10:15am on Sunday mornings (no more than two per month- or fewer depending on the number of volunteers in our rotation.
*All staff and volunteers working with children in person must be fully vaccinated with one of the three vaccines approved by the CDC.
Pageant help needed!
Our Pageant this year will be titled The Holiday Debate; Green Edition.
It is a reworking of the script by Marie Houck, A Holiday Lawsuit (Mother Nature takes Father Christmas to Court for copyright infringement).
We will film it online in November and December in a more streamlined way than last year.
We need a Director to work closely with our technology volunteers to record individual actors performing their lines.
All interested volunteers should contact Heather Madaus at DRE@treeoflifeuu.org
