Booth Space Still Available for Tree of Life Celebrates Art
McHenry—The Tree of Life Unitarian Universalist Congregation, 5603 Bull Valley Road in McHenry will have a Celebration of Art on Saturday, July 30 from 10 am to 5 pm and Sunday July 31from 10 am to 4 pm.
In addition there will be a wine and cheese reception to meet and mingle with the artists from 5 to 7 pm on Saturday evening. The reception will also feature a raffle for which each exhibiting artist will donate a piece as prizes.
About 30 artists will show their work both inside our building and outside on the beautiful grounds. Since art encompasses more than visual art, there will also be musical entertainment throughout the show.
The Celebration of Art is an informal heir to the annual Art in the Garden show hosted by congregation members Deb Glaubke and Gale Harris for the last ten years on the grounds of their Woodstock home. Fans of that popular event will be glad to find that its spirit lives on. Funds raised by the Celebration will also go to the same fine cause, Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of McHenry County which provides trained volunteers to advocate for child victims of abuse and neglect in Juvenile Court and in the foster care system.
Booth space is still available for artists inside the air conditioned church, under a 40’ x 40’ tent, or under their own canopies on the grounds. For information on booth sizes, costs, and terms e-mail Don Metivier at merrittbest@gmail.com or call him at 815 322-2858.
