Celebrating Sukkot

Sunday October 16, 2016 10:45am

In keeping with our World Religions theme, join our Religious Education Director, Sam Jones, along with Craig Krandel of the McHenry County Jewish Congregation in Ridgefield, as we learn about and honor a fall harvest Jewish tradition. Weather permitting, we will have a portion of the service outside near our homemade Sukkah (the primitive dwelling used to symbolize the harvest tradition) where we can receive the blessing with a Lulav and an Etrog. Don’t know what that means? Come learn more at the service. All are invited to bring a small item representing the harvest and fall season, to decorate the Sukkah.
