Prayer Vigil Monday, June 8, 2020

The Tree of Life Social Justice Team extends a special invitation to join us for George Floyd Memorial Parking Lot Vigil in conjunction with other McHenry County congregational gatherings sponsored by the Faith Leaders of McHenry County on Monday, June 8 at 7pm in our parking lot.  Social distancing will be observed and participants are asked to wear a mask and bring candles or flashlights.  Mosquito spray and repellent are seriously advised.  The church building will be closed so please use a rest room before the service

A brief service will include an intent of gathering, sharing a litany of the names of victims of police and white violence, a song, and 9 minutes of silence—the time George Floyd was under a Minneapolis police officer’s knee.

The service will be made available for viewing live on Zoom.   For more info contact Social Justice Team chair Patrick Murfin at pmurfin@sbcglobal.net   or 815 814-5645.
