The homily discusses several spiritual practices related to an appreciation of nature, such as, Uketamo the idea of the humble, grateful acceptance of impermanence. Wabi-sabi, the spiritual practice / lifestyle where in our connectedness to nature we are better connected to our truest inner-selves. Wabi-sabi is a concept that invites us to search for the beauty in imperfection and accept the natural cycle of life, and shinrin-yoku, ‘forest bathing’, a form of ecotherapy.
