In a week and a half Jews all over the world will gather to observe Passover, to remember the foundation of the Israelite community in redemption from slavery. Telling the story of our roots as an oppressed people opens our hearts to the suffering of others and compels us to act to alleviate their suffering. Rabbi Gordon will bring examples from the Passover liturgy and the Torah, the Five Books of Moses, in illustration of this foundational principle.
