What if the very risks we face in the world today that require us to be more resilient thrive on that very resilience? Author, activist, and journalist Soraya Chemaly challenges us to rethink some of our beliefs about resilience in her thought-provoking book The Resilience Myth: New Thinking on Grit, Strength, and Growth After Trauma. This shared worship service with Prairie Circle and Tree of Life will join Chaplain Dave and our combined choir in moving beyond individualist notions of resilience and embracing interdependent strength and collective care.
Our service on this day will take place at 10am at Prairie Circle Unitarian Universalist Congregation in the Byron Colby Barn 1561 Jones Point Road, Grayslake, IL.
